Lucy (Betty) Wallace Bivins, 91, of Madisonville, KY

 

bivins lucyMADISONVILLE, KY - Lucy (Betty) Wallace Bivins, 91, of Madisonville, KY went home to be with the Lord, her husband Bob, and two sons; Garry Douglas Bivins and infant Jerry Wayne Bivins on December 14, 2011 at Ridgewood terrace Nursing Home.

Lucy was born to Bertha and William W. Wallace in Union County on January 2, 1920.

She was a member of Oakley Home General Baptist Church in Manitou. She loved to read and sit on her porch. She loved her grandchildren and they called her Mammy and MaBet. Her favorite color was blue and she was partial to petunias.

She is survived by 5 daughters, June Cavanah of Crofton, KY, Bobbie (Jim) Simmons of Manitou, KY, Judith “Patty” (David) Whitaker of Madisonville, Cheri Wilkerson Martin of Eddyville, KY and Polly (Kenneth) Roberts of Nebo, KY. She was blessed with 12 grand children, many great grand children, and several great great grand children, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Harralson and Rev. R. L. Cottoner officiating. Burial will follow in Oakley Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials donations may be made to Green River Hospice.
