Guy O. Bivins, 82, of Madisonville, KY

 

obit8MADISONVILLE, KY - Guy O. Bivins, 82, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Hillside Villa Care and Rehabilitation Center in Madisonville.

He was born on February 5, 1929 in Greenville, KY to the late Missie and Johnny Bivins. He was formerly a security guard with Andalex Resources. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and CB radio operator. He attended Richland Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Fairie Bivins; a sister, Opel Bivins and a brother, William O. Bivins.

He is survived by his nephew, Jerry Bivins of Madisonville; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews; and several great great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m on Friday, December 16, 2011 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Jim Lantrip officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour Friday at Harris Funeral Home.
