MANNINGTON, KY - Rodney Glenn Carroll, 60, of Mannington was lifted up in the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday December 15, 2011, after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born in Mannington, KY on August 21, 1951 to the late Hershel and Rittie (Hopper) Carroll. He served two years in the Army, was a retired car driver from Freedom Mines, and was of Pentecostal faith.
Along with his parents Rodney was also preceded in death by Margaret Carroll; two infant children, John and Jean; one brother, Skippy Carroll; sisters, Mayme Rodgers and Willadean Vaughn.
He is survived by his wife Doris Jean (Farmer) Carroll; daughter, Briyannah; daughter, Falesha (Brad) Crick of Nortonville; sons, Dwayne (Lori Ann) Carroll, Jeremy (Angel) Carroll, Jarrod (Lindsey) Carroll, all of Mannington; step son, Bailey Brasher of Madisonville; step daughter, DeAnna Dukes of Crofton; brothers, Johnny (Biddie) Carroll and Russell (Linda) Carroll of Mannington; sisters, Wilma June Noffsinger of Crofton and Lorraine (Jimmy) Murdock of Alabama; grandchildren, Samantha, Alexis, Savannah, Sydney, Kobe, Nathaniel, Zachary, Vincent, and Wade; six step grandchildren; five step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit from 4pm-7pm Saturday and 10am-1pm Sunday at Bandy Funeral Home, Nortonville. Services will be Sunday at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. Monty Fuller officiating. Burial will be in McIntosh Cemetery, Nortonville.
Pallbearers are: Dwayne Carroll, Jeremy Carroll, Jarrod Carroll, Brad Crick, Ray Carroll, Wade Carroll.
Honorary Pallbearers will be anyone whom loved and knew Rodney as their friend.
