brinkley elsieMADISONVILLE, KY - Elsie Boggs Brinkley, 88, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Brighton Cornerstone. She was born April 27, 1923 in Hopkins County to the late Charlie and Ida Higgins King. She was also preceded in death by two sisters Jean Threlkeld and Hazel Rickard.

She was a homemaker and a member of Grapevine Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Marc (Cyndi) Boggs of Manitou, KY; one daughter, Paula Wright of Owensboro, KY; three grandchildren, Cara Griffey and Taylor Boggs both of Madisonville, and Michael Wright of Hopkinsville, KY; and one nephew, Tim Clark of Madisonville.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00P.M., Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Wilson, Larry Casares, Taylor Boggs, Jeff Griffey, Michael Wright, and Tim Clark.

Memorial donations may be made to the Grapevine Baptist Church building fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
