James Lincoln Blanchard, 76, of Madisonville, KY

 

1sunsetMADISONVILLE, KY - James Lincoln Blanchard, 76, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 11:54 a.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN.

He was born on May 13, 1935 in Coiltown, KY to the late James Carl and Ovelia (Nell) Blanchard. After graduating High School in Nebo, Ky he served in the Air Force from 1954 to 1958. He loved his family ,he loved serving his country in the Air Force,he loved to cook and he especially loved playing his music. He was a jack of all trades who could build you a house or bake you a cake. He was a sweet man with a kind heart and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by Sue Blanchard; and his sister, Edith (John) Blanchard Whitfield; his children, James S. (Theresa) Blanchard, Denise (Terry) Blanchard, Michelle Howard and Bob (Julie) Deavours; his step-children, Tracy Slinker, Daphne (Garland) Skaggs and Chris Brown; his grandchildren, Chet (Liz) Chaney, Ryan Chaney, Travis Chaney, Caelan Deavours, Nathan Deavours, Chad Spirsman and Tony Skaggs; and great-grandchildren, Arianna Chaney, Audrey Chaney, Avery Glenn and Dylan Deavours.

Services will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.

There will be no visitation.
