Agnes Newton Whitsell, 86, of Slaughters, Kentucky

 

2flowerSLAUGHTERS, KY - Agnes Newton Whitsell, 86, of Slaughters, Kentucky passed away at 12:44 AM at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. '

She was born in Webster County on November 8, 1925 to Samuel and Effie (Brown) Newton. She was retired from Slaughters Elementary School lunch room. She was a member of Slaughters United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Albert Whitsell, Son Kenneth Whitsell and an infant daughter Janet Whitsell.

She is survived by her son: Jerry Whitsell and wife Charlotte of Madisonville; Shelia Ashby and husband Joe of Sebree; 8 Grandchildren: Chris Whitsell, Sandy Buchanan, Holly Saylor, Todd Whitsell, Scott Ashby, Jordan Ashby, Jon Ashby and Kelly Bollinger; 14 Great-Grandchildren.

Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday December 23, 2011 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Pastor Ronnie Young will officiate.

Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 PM and on Friday from 9:00 AM until service time.

Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery Slaughters, KY.

Memorial contributions may be made to Slaughters United Methodist Church building fund.

Pallbearers will be Chris Whitsell, Todd Whitsell, Scott Ashby, Jordan Ashby, Jon Ashby, and Joe Ashby.
