Anna Richie Ashby Ratliff, 90, of Madisonville, KY

 

ratliff annMADISONVILLE, KY - Anna Richie Ashby Ratliff, 90, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 1:22 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, TN.

She was born on November 11, 1921 in Madisonville, KY to the late Lawrence Utley and Georgia Ligon Utley. She formerly operated Madisonville City Park Golf Course in Madisonville. She actively supported under-privileged children. She attended Madisonville First General Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Ross Ashby; her second husband, William R. Ratliff; three sisters, Cate Zentmyer, Catherine Gentry and Archie Phillips; two brothers, Pruitt Utley and Douglas Utley.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeri (Donnie) Hamilton of Madisonville; two grandsons, Steve (Lory) Fowler, Sr. of Hanson, KY and Heath Hamilton of Hopkinsville, KY; her granddaughter, Darla (Richard) Curtis of Madisonville; great-grandchildren, Steven (Tara) Fowler II, Matthew Burton (Marcie) Fowler and Tyler Whitaker; great-great-grandchildren, Christian Steven Fowler, Caiden Isaac Fowler, Collin Chase Fowler, Aiden Hamilton, Jayden Fowler and Jazlynn Fowler.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. Darrell Menser officiating and Rev. Phil Sullivan and Bro. Matt Fowler assisting. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until the funeral hour Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Steven Fowler II, Matt Fowler, Tyler Whitaker, David Gentry, Kevin Gentry and Troy Gentry.

Memorial contributions may be made to Feed the Children. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
