John D. Hall, 68, of Madisonville, KY

 

HALL JOHNMADISONVILLE, KY - John D. Hall, 68, of Madisonville, KY, passed away at 5:20 P.M. Saturday December 24, 2011 at his residence.

He was born September 13, 1943 in Madisonville; he was the son of John H. Hall and Sarah F. Penrod.

Mr. Hall was a member of Grapevine Christian Church in Madisonville, a Kentucky Colonel, and he retired as a Technical Engineer for the Kentucky Highway Department. He enjoyed traveling, dancing and gardening, was an animal lover, was a loving husband, and fought a courageous battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce Wells Hall of Madisonville; several sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and a cat named Fuzz.

Special thank you goes to the nurses and staff at the Mahr Center, Green River Hospice, and the Regional Medical Center 3 east staff. John was also thankful to be supportive of friends and family and thanks his family and friends for being supportive of him.

Graveside services will be 2:30 P.M. Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Forest Lawn Memorial Mausoleum with Bro. Steve Clark and Bro. Jack Holt officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Mausoleum in Madisonville.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM until 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December, 29, 2011 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Green River Hospice, Jack’s Place, and the Merle M. Mahr Canter Center.
