obit15NORTONVILLE, KY - Hershel H. Dillingham, 91 of Nortonville, KY, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2012 at his home.
 
Born in Hopkins Co., KY, he was the son of the late George Earl and the late Dickie Mable (Davis) Dillingham.  He served in the Army during World War II. He was a retired Coal Miner.
 
Survived by two daughters: Sharon Rodgers of Nortonville, KY, Cynthia Deason of White Plains, KY and one son: Michael (Tammy) Dillingham of Nortonville, KY; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
 
Predeceased by his Wife, Myrl Abbott Dillingham; a son, Hershel F. Dillingham; brother, Russell L. Dillingham; brother, Harrell Glover Dillingham; 2 sisters, Doris Gothard and Imogene Powers; grandson, Timothy N. Hight.
 
Friends may call Thursday, January 5 from 5-8 pm and Friday from 9:00am-1 pm at Bandy Funeral Home, in Nortonville, KY.
 
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. at Bandy Funeral Home.
 
Interment will be Friday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Nortonville. Military Rites by Hopkins County Honor Guards.
 
Pallbearers: Trent Smith, Travis Smith, Todd Earl, Jacob Dillingham, Ethan Bowman, Michael Bowman.
