Charles A. Carter, 50, of Madison, TN

 

blueskyMADISONVILLE, KY - Charles A. Carter, 50, of Madison, TN passed away at 3:23 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Alive Hospice Unit in Madison, TN.

He was born on November 9, 1961 in Chicago, IL to Ruth Johnson Tucker and the late James Ronald Carter. He managed a newspaper and magazine route for Anderson Distribution Co. in Nashville, TN. He was a member and leader of A.A. for 20 years where he sponsored many in Madisonville, KY and Nashville, TN. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his step-father, Nathan Dale Tucker.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth Johnson Tucker of Madisonville; three daughters, Chasity Marsh of Hanson, KY, Alissia Hogan of Providence, KY and Tiffany McLeod of Ozark, AL; a son, Kevin Richardson of Salt Lake City, UT; four sisters, Dineen Jacob of OK, Darlene Clarke, Diane Rhye and Becky Ellis all of Madisonville; three brothers, Jimmy Carter of Nashville, Billy Carter of Madisonville and Michael Carter of Hopkinsville, KY; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2012 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Ronnie Cullen officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Sunday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Billy Carter, Kevin Richardson, James Michael Smith, Steve Strader, Brandon Marsh, Trontsay Ellis and Matthew Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Carter and Michael Carter.
