William Paul Beshear, age 85, of Dawson Springs, KY

 

beshear williamDAWSON SPRINGS, KY - The Lord called William Paul Beshear, age 85, of Dawson Springs, KY, to his Heavenly Home on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 4:30 P.M. He passed away peacefully at his home. Mr. Beshear was born on November 10, 1926 to Dennie Madison Beshear and Ida Rambo Beshear.

Mr. Beshear is survived by his wife of 56 years ~ Lena Lamb Beshear of Dawson Springs, KY; a son and daughter-in-law ~ Rev. David & Charlotte Beshear of Dawson Springs, KY; a daughter and son-in-law ~ LaDonna & Glenn Washburn of Dawson Springs, KY; two grandchildren ~ Nathan Stallins of Princeton, KY and Amy Stallins (Shannon) Albro of Greenville, KY; one great-grandson ~ Zander LaRay Albro of Greenville, KY and one sister ~ Lucille Moore of Lake Station, IN.

Mr. Beshear is preceded in death by his parents ~ Dennis Beshear (departed 8/1945) & Ida Beshear (departed 1/1995); a sister ~ Lorene Brown and two brothers ~ Dennis Ray & James Curtis Beshear; one grandson ~ Christopher David Beshear (departed 2/1992.)

He was a of the Pentecostal faith and retired in 1976 after 28 years as a coal miner at Island Creek Coal Company in Providence. He and the late Bryan Duncan were instrumental in starting the perpetual fund for the Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. and Monday, January 9, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be Monday, January 9, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. David Beshear officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.

Active Pallbearers will be Rev. David Beshear, Curtis Beshear, Bobby McKnight, Jimmy Lamb, Glenn Cotton and Donald Rambo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nathan Stallins, Shannon Albro & Scott Summers.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the:
