Sue Ellen Arivett Sample, 84, of Denver, NC

 

1flowerHOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Sue Ellen Arivett Sample, 84, of Denver, NC died Friday January 6, 2012 at Hospice House, Newton, NC. She was born August 24, 1927 in Nebo, KY daughter of the late B. Arivett and Dora Stanley Arivett. A graduate of Nebo High School she was a homemaker and seamstress.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons; William Morris Sample & wife Denita of Denver, NC, Randy Sample & wife Pam of Quincy, Ill; grandchildren, Chris Sample and wife Marianne of Cincinnati, OH, Sherry Sample and husband Todd Willems of Charlotte, Stacy Sample of Lexington, KY; great grandchildren, Mia Willems, Braeden and Liam Sample and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Henry Sample in 1982, brother, John Arivett, sisters, Pauline Barnwell and Cora Lee Parish.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday January 13 at Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville, KY with Rev. Paul Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Nebo Union Cemetery in Nebo, KY. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton NC 28658-9715.

Harris Funeral Home, Madisonville, KY is assisting the family.
