Roger Dale Tapp, age 60, of Madisonville, KY

rogertappHOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Roger Dale Tapp, 60, of Madisonville, KY, passed away at 5:55 P.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2012 at NHC Healthcare. He was born October 3, 1951 in Hopkins County, KY, he was the son of the late Roy G. and Wilma Jean Long Tapp.

Mr. Tapp was the owner of Tapp Wielding in Earlington, KY for over 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ferrell Tapp of Madisonville; four sisters, Gwenda (James) Sellers of Hanson, Betty Lacy of Madisonville, Kay Godwin and Carol (Gary) Huddleston both of Earlington, KY; three brothers, Eddie (Judy) Tapp of Hanson, Tony (Janie) Tapp of Madisonville, and Terry Tapp of Earlington.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 13, 2012, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Sisk, Bro. Bobby Todd, and Bro. Nathan Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in Old Beulah, Beulah, KY.

Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 12, 2012 and from 9:00 A.M. until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Tapp II, Jeremy Tapp, Josh Browning, Norman Godwin, and Eric Huddleston. Honorary Pallbearer will be Ricky Tapp.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Green River Hospice and Hall Street Apostolic Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
