James Edward Herbert, 78

 

NORTONVILLE, KY - James Edward Herbert, 78 of Nortonville passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at his residence.
 
Born in Mortons Gap, KY, he was the son of the late Garland Oscar and the late Gracie Mae (Dillingham) Herbert. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1955, was a millwright at Chrysler, and was member of the Ponderosa Baptist Church, Cadiz, KY.

Survived by his wife, Dolly (Wilson) Herbert; one daughter, Cindy (Ricky) Hight of Nortonville; two sons, Ricky Herbert of Uniontown, KY, Michael (Leanna) Herbert of Cincinnati, OH; one sister, Patsy Lunsford of Richmond, IN; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
 
Predeceased by his son, Cecil Herbert and daughters, Janice Sue & Janet Lou Herbert.
 
Friends may call Friday from 5-8 pm and Saturday from 9am-11am at Bandy Funeral Home, Nortonville. Funeral service will be held at 11 am at the funeral home.
 
Interment will be Saturday in Concord Cemetery, White Plains with Rev. Marshall Lee officiating and the Hopkins Co. Honor Guard performing military rites.
