Martha Wilhite, age 77, of Gallatin, TN formerly of Madisonville

wilhite marthaMADISONVILLE, KY - Martha June Wilhite, 77, of Gallatin, TN formerly of Madisonville, KY and Mt. Vernon, IN passed away at 4:40 A.M. Monday January 16, 2012 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin.

She was born June 8, 1934 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Clee Roy Lutz and Lillian Lucille Buchanan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Wilhite.

Mrs. Wilhite was co-owner of Wilhite Tire and a member of the Messengers of Life Church. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed traveling..

She is survived by three sons, David (Kae) Wilhite of Hendersonville, TN, Steve (Robin) Wilhite N. Richland Hills, TX and Brian (Krista Paseur) Wilhite of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Tom (Pat) Lutz of Madisonville; seven grandchildren, April McNellie, Adam Wilhite, Hannah Wilhite, George Wilhite, Ben Wilhite, Angela Mendoza and Leslie Wilhite and five great grandchildren, Andrew Wilhite, Jake McNellie, Chloe McNellie, Nicolas Mendoza and Thomas Mendoza.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Childs officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday and from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Lutz and Rick Wells.

Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Sumner Regional Medical Center, attention HighPoint Hospice, 555 Hartsville Pike Gallatin, TN 37066.
