Opal Louise Teague Proffitt, 82 of Nortonville

 

opal obitNORTONVILLE, KY - Opal Louise Teague Proffitt, 82 of Nortonville passed away Thursday January 19, 2012 at her home.  She was born on February 18, 1929 in Hopkins Co., KY to the late Everett and Lana (Croft) Teague.  
 
She was a retired hairdresser, a wonderful housewife, and a member of Trinity Gospel Tabernacle.  
 
She is survived by her husband, James L. Proffitt, Sr.; sons, Gary A. (Delilah) Proffitt and James "Doonie" (Debbie) Proffitt, Jr. of Nortonville; daughter, Joyce (Brad) Proffitt Smith of Madisonville; brother, Clarence A. (Marlene) Teague of Arvada, CO; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
 
She was preceeded in death by her parents; son, Roger Lynn Proffitt and daughter in law, Doris Proffitt.
 
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Howard Jones officiating and Paul McPeek assisting.  Friends may call Sunday evening from 5-7pm and Monday from 11am-1pm at the funeral home.  Interment will be at New Salem Cemetery, Nortonville.
 
Pallbearers will be Daniel Proffitt, Matt Proffitt, Brad Smith, Jr., Michael Shane Proffitt, Neil Dustin Smith, and Brad Smith, Sr.
