charles robertsMADISONVILLE, KY - Charles D. Roberts, 59, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 2:03 P.M. on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville.

He was born on December 13, 1952 in Detroit, MI to the late Ellen Murphy Roberts and George Roberts. He was a correctional officer at the Kentucky State Penitentiary. He was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Gerry Roberts and his brother-in-law, Jack Yerge.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Roberts; two daughters, Maria (James) Smith of Ft. Knox, KY and Theresa Roberts of Chattanooga, TN; two sisters, Mary Yerge and Margaret (Larry) Wickenhiser both of Michigan; his brother, Daniel Roberts of Michigan; two grandchildren, Mason Roberts and Abigail Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services or visitation. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.
