Ralph Teague, 93, of Madisonville, KY

 

teague ralphMADISONVILLE, KY - Ralph Teague, 93, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson.

He was born September 19, 1918 to the late Dennie F. Teague and Lena J. Townzen Teague. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Iona Williamson Teague.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville. He was former Past Post Commander at the VFW, a member of the Noon Kiwanis and the Hump Pilots Association. He was also a superintendent for Caney Creek Mining Co. in Drakesboro, KY.

He is survived by three sons, Randall (Laura) Teague of Madisonville, Rickey (Becky) Teague of Newport, VA, and Dee (Becky) Teague of Hanson, KY; one sister, Franketta Paine of Reston, VA; eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 27, 2012 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr. Don Davis officiating. Entombment will be at Madisonville Mausoleum at Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the service hour on Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Allen Elliot, Kiah Winstead, Jeoffrey Teague, Hawkins Teague, Brian Jones, and Brock Jones.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
