Linda Newsome, 70, of the Coldwater community

 

MURRAY, KY - Linda Newsome, 70, of the Coldwater community, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at her home.

She was born in Murray, Kentucky on July 14, 1941 to the late Dewey and Cotiel Bazzell. Mrs. Newsome was a member of the Coldwater Church of Christ and was retired from Fisher Price.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Joe Bazzell.

Mrs. Newsome was survived by her husband, Delbert Newsome, to whom she was married on August 17, 1957; four daughters, Natalie Hill and husband Max, of Murray, Mitzi Hughes, and husband Max, of Murray, Kelly Nicholas and husband Jim, of Paducah, and Heather Newsome, of Knoxville, TN; 13 grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Damon Duke, Allison Burgess, Matthew Duke, Richard Hill, Heath Garner, Tad Garner, Erica Bazzell, Devry Hughes, Deedra Hughes, Ian Hughes-Penny, Ricky Watson Jr., Samantha Smith, and Sarah Nicholas; five great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, Mason Duke, Ayden Burgess, Kaydence Smith, Zachary Bazzell, Ashlynne Bazzell; one sister, Shelba Barnett and husband, Bob, of Hardin; two brothers, Dan Bazzell and wife, Sue, of Farmington, and Ronnie Bazzell and wife Lagenia, of Murray; sister-in –law, Beverly Bazzell, of Canton, MI.

Visitation will be at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at Coldwater Church of Christ on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Coldwater Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, 8467 State Route 121 N, Murray, KY 42071.
