Myrt Hinson Atwood, age 70, of Cadiz, KY

CADIZ, KY- Myrt Hinson Atwood, age 70, of Cadiz, KY, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at her residence after a long battle with cancer.

Myrt Atwood was a member of Pugh Flat Baptist Church where she was involved in the Ladies Outreach. She retired after 51 years as a beautician in Trigg County.

She is survived by her Husband Jack Atwood, Cadiz, KY, Son & Daughter In Law Barry & Lacie Thurman, Cadiz, KY, Daughter & Son In Law Misty & Billy Barnes, Cadiz, KY, Brother Sam Hinson, Bowling Green, KY, Stepsons Jason Atwood & Cameron Atwood, Montrose, CO, Step Daughter Heather Mackie, Deloris, CO, Four Grandchildren Dalton Barnes, Blake Barnes, Catlin Danick & Shai Masson, Eight Step Grandchildren, Great Grandchild Dakota Storm Walker and 1 Step Great Grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her Parents Virgil "Cotton" Arlington & Virgie Grace "Gracie" Hutchison Hinson, First Husband Larry Thurman and a Brother Dempsey Hinson.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 6, 2012. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 7, 2012 with the Reverend Terry Mitcheson & Reverend Scott Weber officiating. Burial will follow at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz, KY.
