He was born October 25, 1922 in Daviess County to the late Clarence Melvin and Mary Emma Galloway Hodskins. He was a retired U.S. Army Veteran and U.S. Civil Service employee.. He was of the Catholic Faith and a member of the National Uniform Service.
Surviving is his wife, Elizabeth Pauline Crafton Hodskins; children, Jodi (Tony) Barber of Estero, FL Roxane (Chris) Heath of Benton, KY, James Paul (Debbie) Hodskins of Ofallon, IL; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings, Audrey Louise Fogle, Mary Wilma Farmer, Rosa Lee Appleby, Doris Elizabeth Westerfield, Patricia Ellen Jackson, all of Owensboro, William Kenneth Hodskins of Waterford, MI, Margaret Floella (Dot) Drury of West Louisville, KY, and Martha Jean Edwards of Louisville, KY.
Aside from his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Eckless Hodskins and Martin Ivo Hodskins and two sisters, Genola Marie Payne and Anna Joyce Calhoun.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with Father Bruce McCarty officiating and burial to follow in St. Alphonsus Cemetery with full military honors.
Visitation will be at Haley-McGinnis and Owensboro Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
