PRINCETON, Ky. - Wiley Delawson, age 85, of Princeton, KY passed away Saturday, January 26 at Baptist Health in Madisonville following a long illness. He was a truck driver for Smith Coal Co., a member of Wallonia Christian Church, VFW Post 5595, World War II Veteran, and American Legion Post 116.
Delawson is survived by four daughters, Paula Massey & husband Harold, Caldwell Co., KY; Sandy Sivells & husband Ronnie, Princeton, KY; Susan Delawson, Princeton, KY; Shirley Hargrove, Clermont, FL; six grandchildren, Michelle Sivells, Amy Gibson, Chris Sivells, Mike Melton, Melissa Chaney, Hiler Hargrove; ten great-grandchildren, Leesha Jesko, Payton Plain, Clint Sivells, Cabott Sivells, Chase Kessler, Bret Archbell, Justin Phelps, Chancie Chaney, Libby Melton, Jakeb Melton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Simpson Delawson, parents Wade and Ethal Oliver Delawson; three brothers, Jewell Delawson, Gene Delawson, and Orbie Delawson; and one sister, Susiebelle Oliver.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 29 at 11:00 AM at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Billy Joe Nichols and Rev. Ronnie Sivells officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
