Gerald Peek, 70, of Kuttawa, KY

EDDYVILLE, Ky. - Gerald Peek, 70, of Kuttawa, KY passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 in Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah, KY

Mr. Peek was a retired heavy equipment operator for U.S. Steel Company in Gary, Indiana with 30 years' service. He was a member of the Paducah American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3135 in Paducah. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of Jordan Baptist Church in Portage, Indiana.

Gerald loved karaoke singing, he enjoyed working on tractors and just loved life in general, especially spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Driver Peek; two sons, Tim (Debbie) Peek of Eddyville and Tom (Patty) Peek of Kuttawa; one daughter, Marie Peek of Clarksville, TN; ten grandchildren, Christy Hupp, Jason Geary, Andreas Stancescu, Niki Stancescu, Timothy Peek Jr., Travis Peek, Dalton Peek, Samantha Peek, Ashlee Peek, Thomas Peek Jr.; two step-grandchildren, Amanda Frick and Cassandra Frick; three great grandchildren, Chloe, Myles and Kyleigh; one brother, Marshall (Norma) Peek of Kuttawa, a half-brother, Clyde East of Princeton and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Tony Peek, Joe Ellis Peek and Gene Peek. His parents were Tommy Randolph Peek and Eula Bell Dalton Peek.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville with Rev. Lonnie Knight and Rev. James Driver officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery in Lyon County.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, March 18, 2013 at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville.
