Louise (Stokes) Jones, age 95 of Calvert City, KY

BENTON, Ky. - Louise (Stokes) Jones, age 95 of Calvert City, KY passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, at 11:10 PM at the Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY.

Born Thursday, January 24, 1918 in Marshall Co., KY, She was a Homemaker and a member of Altona Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Rickie Jones of Reidland, KY and Gurvey Jones of Calvert City, KY, four daughters, Dixie Pratt of Calvert City, KY, Sylvia Hill of Benton, KY, Sue Smiddy of Benton, KY and Louellen Rundles of Benton, KY, one brother, Clarence Newton of Benton, KY, two sisters, Alberta Henson of Benton, KY and Laura Walston of Benton, KY; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Albert Stokes and Suzie (Alsup) Stokes, her step-mother, Rosie (Holland) Stokes, her husband, Wesley Jones who passed away in December of 1989, one daughter, Darlene Jones, one son, Jacky Jones, one grandson, David Sauvage, four brothers, Roy Alsup, Chester Ford, James Newton and Albert Stokes, Jr., three sisters, Leona Goodman, Irene Ramage and Anna Starks.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Rev. Roger Rice will officiate. Interment is to follow the service in the Calvert City Cemetery, Calvert City, KY.

Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY.

The family asks that memorial contributions to the Altona Baptist Church Building Fund 5827 U.S. Hwy 62, Calvert City, KY 42029.
