PRINCETON, Ky. - Johnny Mar Wells, age 60, of Princeton, KY passed away Monday, March 25 at 4:05 p.m. at his home after a long illness.
A native of Christian County, he was born February 26, 1953, the son of the late Burno Lewis Wells and Ethelene Pearl Boren Wells Blackwell.
He was a Navy veteran and a registered nurse at JSMC Emergency Room for many years. He also drove a truck for Miles Trucking. Mr. Wells had been disabled for several years.
Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Lewis Wells in 1986 and his step father, Leo Paul Blackwell in 2004.
Survivors include his two daughters, Wendy Wells McDowell and her children, Haydon Harralson, Alyssa Gilliland, and Ethan McDowell, all of Princeton; Brandy Wells Murray and her husband Jody Murray and their children Cole and Noah Murray, Lebanon, TN; one brother, Kenneth Wells, Washington, IL; three sisters, Nancy Brown, Knoxville, TN, Brenda Voisinet, Bloomington, IL, and Hazel Smith, Hopkinsville, KY.
Services will be at Morgan’s Funeral Home, Princeton on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Jody Murray, son-in-law of Mr. Wells, will conduct the services with burial in KY Veterans Cemetery West.
