EDDYVILLE, Ky. - William Aubrey (Scoby) Cook, age 90, passed away Sunday, March 31 at 8:35 p.m. at Caldwell Medical Center following a short illness. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a retired farmer. He had worked for ITT Grinnell for over 20 years. During WWII he worked for Republic Aviation in Evansville building P-47 Thunderbolt airplanes.
He is survived by one son, James A. Cook, Caldwell Co., KY; one daughter, Janice Hartigan & husband, Dale, Caldwell Co., KY; three grandchildren, Spencer Cook & wife, Renee; Kim Ezell & husband, Tracy; and Kevin Sanders & wife, Cheryl; several step grandchildren; six great grandchildren, Bryan King, Landon Ezell, Logan Ezell, Ericka Sanders, Mackenzie Sanders and Brayden Sanders and one sister, Minnie Mitchell, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Goodaker Cook, his parents, Omer and Iva Denham Cook, two brothers, R.B. Cook and Orville Cook and two sisters, Edna McCormick and Ola Mae Corly
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Morgan's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Sharon Murray officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Roads cemetery in Caldwell County.
