Judith Anne (Whitehead) Goheen, age 72 of Calvert City, KY

BENTON, Ky. - Judith Anne (Whitehead) Goheen, age 72 of Calvert City, KY departed this life to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at her home in Calvert City, KY. She was a member of the Briensburg Church of Christ. Judith was born on November 27, 1940 in a bomb shelter in Warrington, England. She was only child of the late Joseph and the late Jean (Grubb) Whitehead. Judith's father was a logistic planner for the British Army and was required to leave for Africa two weeks before her birth. He did not see his daughter until she was two years old. When she was nine years old Judith came to this country with her parents and grandparents. She was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School. During her working career she was a sales clerk for Jill's Shoe Box, Puckett's Jewelery and was a receptionist at the Calvert City Quick Lube.

Judith was a caring, loving and devoted wife to her husband of 28 years, Jim Goheen of Calvert City, KY., a loving mother to four sons, Mike Lyles, who passed away September of 2011, Tim Lyles of Memphis, TN, Bruce Lyles, wife Wendy of Calvert City, KY and Andy Lyles of Calvert City, KY., and one step-son Michael Goheen of Dayton, OH. She was also the grandmother to two wonderful granddaughters, Erika Lyles of Louisville, KY and Brooke Lyles of Calvert City, KY. Judy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and wife, she was well known in the Calvert City area for her bubbly personality and caring ways endeared to all who came in contact with her.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY., with the Rev. Chris Moore and Gary Knuckles officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Paducah, KY.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Collier Funeral Home in Benton, Kentucky. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall Co. School for Exceptional Children, 198 Old Symsonia Rd. Benton, KY 42025 or to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
