Mary Elois Ward, age 88 of Princeton, Ky

5flowerCALDWELL COUNTY, Ky. - Mary Elois Ward, age 88 of Princeton, Ky passed away Thursday July 11, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center following a short illness.

She is survived by four sons, Buddy Ward and wife Debbie of Princeton, KY., Roger Ward and wife Sharon of Fredonia, KY., Tom Ward and wife Sandy of Caldwell County, KY and Hugh Ward and wife Heather of Caldwell County, KY; two daughters, Mary Lee Burkhart of Princeton, KY and Martha DeBoe and husband Harvey of Caldwell County, KY; eleven grandchildren, Gayla Ward Fluaitt and husband Richie, Sherry Fralick and husband David, Kim McGlone, Michael Lane and wife Kamisha, Ginny Beth Peek and husband Todd, Harvey DeBoe Jr., Matt Ward, Dallas Ward, Jim Ward, Casey Ward and Abby Ward; nine great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Cole, Ethan, Baily, Emma, Peyton, Hadley, Hannah and Katie; one brother, Eddie Thomas of High Rolls NM.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Ward Sr.; her parents, Kirby Thomas Sr. and Elois Robertson Thomas; three grandchildren, Brian Scott Ward, Sara Burkhart and Sandra Burkhart; one great-grandchild, Hunter Stephen Peek; and three brothers.

Mary Elois Ward was a Member of Beulah Hill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was also owner and operator of Ward's Grocery.

Visitation will be Saturday July 13, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be Sunday July 14, at 2:30 PM at the funeral home with Rev. James Nobel Mckinney and Rev. Gary Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Lance Nichols Cemetery in Caldwell County.
