Dale Lowther, 77, of Princeton, KY

2sunsetPRINCETON, Ky. - Dale Lowther, 77, of Princeton, KY passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at Baptist Health in Madisonville following a short illness. He was a retired strip miner, member and deacon of Second Baptist Church in Princeton and a member of Joppa Lodge #167.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jeanette Scott Lowther, Princeton, KY; four sons, Scott Lowther & wife Cindy, Princeton, KY; Ricky Lowther & wife Owatta, Central City, KY; Steve Lowther & wife Cheryl, Kuttawa, KY; John Lowther, Princeton, KY; four grandchildren, Kelley, Jennifer, Caijhmon, Saige; two great-grandchildren, Christina and Andrew; one brother, Charles Lowther & wife Shelia, Georgetown, KY; two sisters, Kim Bartlett & husband Roger, Nashville, TN; Shirley Creamer, Madisonville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Margaret Evans Lowther; and one sister, Peggy Bond.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 7:00 PM.
