Larry 'Happy' Hayden, 62, of Marshall County, Ky

BENTON, Ky. - Larry 'Happy' Hayden, 62, of Marshall County, Ky went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 24th, at his home in Marshall County, KY. He was 62 years old. Happy worked as a conductor for Illinois Central Railroad and as the plant superintendent at CC Metals and Alloys. He was a member of Briensburg Baptist Church and enjoyed sports and the outdoors. More than anything in the world, he loved his family.

Mr. Hayden was also a member of the National Guard.

He was the son of the late Eugene Hayden and the late Helen (Gamble) Hayden.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Holly McKim Hayden, their three children, seven grandchildren, and his sister, Charlotte Sherrill. Seth Hayden and his wife, Bayleigh, live in Cincinnati, OH, and are expecting their first daughter. Sean Hayden and his wife, Caroline, live in Nashville, TN, and have three children, Luke, Kellen, and Emery. Heather Hayden and her fiancé Lance Robertson live in Calvert City, KY, and have three children, Hunter Schroader, Lake and Landon Robertson.

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY.

Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 12:00 noon, Friday, September 27, 2013, Rev. George Culp and Rev. Brad Walker officiating.

Visitation will be held at Collier Funeral Home on Thursday, September 26, 2013 between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.  

Memorial contributions may be given to the Briensburg Baptist Church, 891 Briensburg Rd., Benton, KY 42025.
