Roy Hancock, age 62, of Cadiz, KY

CADIZ, Ky. - Roy Hancock, age 62, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, TN. Mr. Hancock has worked in river barge transportation for 45 years and recently was employed by Marquette Transportation where the last ten years he has been a boat captain. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was survived by: Daughter - Katie Hancock, Madison, TN, Step Daughter - Kristen Everhart, Hot Springs, AR, Two Grandchildren - Noek & Halen Johnson, two Brothers- Bob L. Hancock, Cadiz, Ky & Franklin D. Hancock, Cadiz, KY, Four Sisters-Mary Edmonds, Cadiz, KY, Linda Thomas, Cadiz, KY, Judy Edmonds, Cadiz, Ky & Helen Hite , Cadiz, KY.

He was preceded in death by: Father - Luther Hancock, Mother - Augusta Carpenter Hancock, Six Brothers-Tom Hancock, Charles Hancock, Lewis Hancock, Ernest 'De De' Hancock, Leslie Hancock & Doug Hancock, Three Sisters- Ann Hardy, Margurite Hancock & Laura Humphries.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, Ky 42211-031 in Cadiz, Ky where the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 with the Reverend Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz, KY.
