Morris B. Hubbard, 91, of New Albany, Indiana, formerly of Kuttawa

CALDWELL COUNTY, KY - Morris B. Hubbard, 91, of New Albany, Indiana, formerly of Kuttawa, Ky, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 in Mercy Providence Retirement Home in New Albany, Indiana where he had resided the last two years.

Mr. Hubbard was a retired financial manager for the U.S. Army in Fort Knox. He served as a WWII veteran for three years, serving two of those years in the European Theater and Operations. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Lyon County.

He is survived by six nieces and three nephews. Also several great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Sarah Alfreda "Freda" Kemper Hubbard; three sisters, Ruth Ambrose, Reba Shelton and Hurle Street; two brothers, James D."J.D." Hubbard and Carroll Hubbard Sr. His parents were Dennie and Penny Fox Hubbard.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville, Ky with Rev. John Hagan and Rev. Bryan Grigg officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Crittenden County, KY with graveside military honors.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the funeral home.
