PADUCAH, Ky. (3/21/14)— Baptist Health and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield are sponsoring Kentucky Gives Day, the second annual statewide day of giving by the Kentucky Nonprofit Network, Inc., Wednesday, April 9.
Kentucky Gives Day is an innovative online fundraising event that encourages Kentuckians to donate to their favorite charities in a 24-hour time period. Any nonprofit organization incorporated in the state is eligible at no cost.
Locally, Baptist Health Foundation Paducah is participating.
“Baptist Health Foundation Paducah is excited about participating in Kentucky Gives Day for the second year,” said Laurie Latham, foundation director. “We hope donors will go online on April 9 to learn more about our healing ministry and help our foundation support our heart, cancer, stroke, and baby care programs and services.”
Beginning at midnight EST on April 9, Kentuckians can go online at www.kygives.org to connect with causes they care about and make tax-deductible donations to support the important work of Kentucky charities.
Gifts also can be scheduled ahead of time by searching for your favorite nonprofit on the Web site and clicking “Donate” to schedule your gift.
Last year, more than $330,000 was raised for 300 participating charities.Donate to the Baptist Health Foundation Paducah directly.
