Waldean C. Siegfried, age 84, of Calvert City, KY

obit20CALVERT CITY, KY -Waldean C. Siegfried, age 84, of Calvert City, KY, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at her residence in Calvert City, KY. She was a lifetime member of Calvert City United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was an avid golfer and was an original member of the Calvert City Country Club where she was 7 time club champion.

Mrs. Siegfried enjoyed her bridge partners and was a Marshall County Basketball season ticket holder.

She was the daughter of the late Omer Capps and the late Amy (Haile) Capps.

She is survived by: One Daughter: Lori Lichtenberg, husband Butch, Morehead, KY; Two Sons: Robert Siegfried, wife Kathy, Kalispell, MT, Brad Siegfried, wife Ellen, Duluth, GA; One Sister: Kathryn Goheen, husband John, Calvert City, KY; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and several beloved nieces and nephews (all her favorites).

She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert H. Siegfried; and brothers: Kenneth Capps and Jerry Capps.

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY.

Funeral service will be held at Calvert City United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 26, 2011, Rev. Eddie Bromley officiating.

Interment will be Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Calvert City Cemetery, Calvert City, KY.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 25, 2011 between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Open Hearts Food Pantry, c/o Calvert City United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 128, Calvert City, KY 42029, or the charity of your choice.
