Raymond Guess, 79, of Kuttawa

3cloudKUTTAWA, KY - Raymond Guess, 79, of Kuttawa, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 in Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.

Mr. Guess was a retired chemical operator for the former Penn-Walt Chemical Plant in Calvert City with 43 years service. He was a 55 year member of Dycusburg Masonic Lodge #232 in Dycusburg and a 28 year member of Rizpah Shriners in Madisonville. He was a member and deacon of Suwanee Furnace Baptist Church in Lyon County.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dena Daughtrey Guess; three daughters, Cindy (Rick) Hardin of Germantown, TN, Kathy (Joel) Gresham of Kuttawa and Rebecca (Butch) Lofton of Lakeland, FL; seven grandchildren, Austin (Megan), Zachary, Christopher, Hannah, Summer, Richard (Jennyfer) and Joshua; two great grandchildren, Alex and Jett; four brothers, Carl ( Ramona) Guess, Bobby (Betty) Guess, Paul Guess and Charlie (Shirley) Guess of Kuttawa; one sister, Inell (Jimmy) P'Pool of Kuttawa and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Freeman Guess and Pauline Sowash Guess.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Lakeland Funeal Home Chapel with Shane Board, Rev. Jeremy Short and Rev. Don Short officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00P.M. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville with Masonic rites at 7:00 P.M.
