William (Bill) Blackburn, age 99 of Princeton

PRINCETON, KY - William (Bill) Blackburn, age 99 of Princeton died on Thursday, January 12 at Caldwell Medical Center following a short illness.

He is survived by three sons, William Herman Blackburn and wife Sally of St. Louis MO., Stephen Blackburn and wife Karen of Princeton, KY and Rick Blackburn of Princeton, KY; four grandchildren, Chase Blackburn, Colby Blackburn, Eric Blackburn and Margaret Blackburn; two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Blackburn and Alexis Blackburn; two nephews, Hoy Nichols of Princeton, KY and Hoy C. Blackburn of Hardinsburg, KY.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Nell Oliver Blackburn; one daughter, Willa Blackburn Jordan; one son, Gary Blackburn; his parents, Albert Hoy and Alma Morse Blackburn; three brothers, Guy, Hugh and Walter Blackburn; two sisters, Olivia Nichols and Wilma Burchette.

Mr. Blackburn was Owner and Operator of three Family Shoes Stores, a Member of First Baptist Church for eighty three years, a Deacon, An Army Veteran of World War II, A Member of the Rotary Club, A Member of the Elk Lodge, a Kentucky Colonel and a Member of the American Legion.

Visitation will be Sunday January 15, from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM at the funeral home. A Graveside service will be at 2:30 PM on January 15, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Kent Workman officiating. Military honors will be observed.
