LEXINGTON, Ky. - Reba Jennings Conway (Eldridge) left behind the pain and suffering of a long illness on Sunday, January 13, 2013 and is now dancing in the Fields of Grace. She knew Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and she is now at peace with Him.
Born October 13, 1935, she attended the Salvation Army Church as a youth and young adult and played in the church band. She graduated from Henry Clay High School, and was a four-year Navy veteran, having served in-country. She loved animals and reading books.
She is survived by her husband, Bertie Conway, Jr., married 56 years; two children, Walter Steven Conway (Steve), Alexandria, KY, (Donna), and Candetta Faye Conway Holdren (Candy), Manteca, CA, (Douglas); two grandchildren, Katie Layne Conway and James Steven Holdren (Jamie); and one nephew, Walter Glenn Richardson (Sharon).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isabel Mink Eldridge and Stanley Eldridge, a sister, Goldie Richardson, and her brothers, Paul Eldridge, Garrett Eldridge, Peter Eldridge, and Earl Eldridge.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Tuesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Officiated by the Reverend Douglas Holdren. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday.
