Richard J. Fegley, 83

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Richard J. Fegley, 83, husband of Mary Ann Ransdell Sewell Fegley, passed away Wed., Feb. 6, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital-East. Born in Olean, New York, he was a son of the late Jesse and Lulu Taylor Fegley. Mr. Fegley received his B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University in 1951, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He served his country honorably for 14 years as a Major in the U.S. Army. In addition to being an avid bridge player, golfer and former member at Lone Oak Country Club, he was member of Northeast Christian Church. He retired from the Merck Pharmaceutical Company after fulfilling a career in chemical sales. He and his wife enjoyed many wonderful years of traveling before returning to KY in 2004.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Marcia Fegley and Lynne Fegley both of Louisville; two stepsons, Jeffery Sewell of Lexington and Wayne Sewell (Elaina) of Nicholasville; three grandchildren, Jesse, Jacob, and Treyc; one great grandson Caden; one sister, Audrey Williams, and two brothers, Jack Fegley (Dottie) and Bruce Fegley (Marilyn).

Funeral services will be Mon., Feb. 11, 12 noon at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Mon. 10 am until the time of service. I love you sweet heart. We love you daddy.
