LEXINGTON, Ky. - Linda Parker Jozefowicz, 79, of Lexington, passed away Friday at St. Joseph Hospital. Born October 24, 1933 in Lexington to the late Walker Junior and Katherine Lowry Parker.
She was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Women’s Auxiliary and KY Organ Donor Affiliates. Linda was a long – living lung transplant recipient receiving her life giving lung at the University of KY Medical Center by Dr. Michael Sekela on May 23, 1993.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Jozefowicz; two sons, Michael Andrew, John Mark (Vicki); six grandchildren, Michael (Jessica), Victoria, Mary, Matthew, Caleb and Colin; one great grandson, Ryan; three brothers, Leo (Alva) Parker, Walker Jr. (Barbara) Parker, Andrew (Beth); one sister, Shirley; a host of nieces, nephews and special friends, Chuck and Frances Mead.
Mrs. Jozefowicz is preceded in death by a brother, Billy; a sister, Freda Patsy and a brother in law, Harry Harney.
Services will be held at 12 noon Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church, officiated by Father Gino Donatelli.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 9 pm Wednesday at Kerr Brothers – Harrodsburg Road. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery.
