LEXINGTON, Ky. - Wiesenhahn, Pearlie Miller Ruggles, 78, a loving mother and grandmother, wife of Darryl Wiesenhahn, passed away Sun, Feb 24, 2013.
Born in Noble, KY, she was the daughter of the late Moss and Ida Noble Miller. A graduate of Berea College School of Nursing, she was a retired nurse with Veterans Administration and was an active member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Rita K. Ruggles, Royal Palm Beach, FL, Stephanie (Charles) Dowdy, Lexington, Jennifer L. Ruggles, Deltona, FL; granddaughter, Rebecca C. Douglass; and sisters-in-law, Mable Miller and Georgia Miller, both of Bulan, KY.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Ralph Ruggles; sisters, Opal Gayheart and Oma Spencer and brothers, Pearl, Willard and Harold Miller. A special thanks to Betty Austin, a friend of 60 years, Mary Jo Billiter ,members of the Ed and Harry Ruggles families, special neighbors, the staff at Central Baptist Hospital, 5 North, as well as Dr's Donaldson, Cottrell and their staff. In addition, Tom, Jeff, Marsha and Kathleen, with Centenary UMC, for their continuing support of Pearlie.
Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Fri, Mar 1, 2013 at Milward-Man O' War, 1509 Trent Blvd. Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery. Honorary casket bearers will be the 1956 Berea College Nursing Class.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thurs, Feb 28, 2013.
Memorials may be made to Berea College, Hospice of the Bluegrass or Centenary United Methodist Church.
