Elizabeth Louise Reynolds Jasper, 93

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Elizabeth Louise Reynolds Jasper, 93, went to her Heavenly home on March 11, 2013. Born March 9, 1920, she was the daughter of the late A.B. and Jessie Peel Reynolds. She was the widow of Clyde Jasper, to whom she was married for 45 years. Together, they owned farms in Jessamine and Carroll Counties before owning and operating Jasper’s Market on Walton Avenue for 23 years. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 10 of 11 siblings.

She is survived by two children, John A. Jasper (Patsy) and Joanne Jasper Newman (Larry). She leaves three grandchildren, Christy Surbaugh (Dannie), Jennifer Jasper and Andy Newman (Kim); and seven great grandchildren, Shelby Surbaugh Anderson (Alex), Kelsey Surbaugh, Aaron Toomer, Amber Toomer, John Toomer, Jonathan Wilson and Silas Newman; one sister, Betty Jean Reynolds Boyd; as well as several nieces, nephews and close friends at Briarwood Apartments. Elizabeth passed away at home in the presence of family.

Funeral services will be held at Milward-Southland on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 11 AM, conducted by Rev. Bruce Carpenter. Burial will follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will be Robert Davis, Larry E. Newman, Andy Newman, Dannie Surbaugh, Alex Anderson and Mike Meadows. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM Thursday. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
