Jerome Ambrose Ubelhor, 84, of Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Jerome Ambrose Ubelhor, 84, of Lexington, husband of Gloria Ann Yeker Ubelhor, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013.

He was the son of the late Edward George and Rosaline Boeglin Ubelhor.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran, retired electronics engineer and owner of Ubelhor Construction Co.

He was a member of the U. S. Navy Seebees, Knights of Columbus, Serra Club and N.A.I.C.

Besides his wife, survivors include three sons, David (Ada) Ubelhor, Eric (Catherine) Ubelhor, and John (Elizabeth) Ubelhor; two daughters, Debra Claunch and Anne (Michael) Tubbs; one brother, Victor (Joan) Ubelhor; three sisters, Irma Schmitt, Lynn Ubelhor and Delores (Richard) Mounts; seven grandchildren, Stacy (Jay) Pennington, Sarah Claunch, Alexander Ubelhor, Rebekah Ubelhor, Hannah Ubelhor, Alyssa Hurst and Victoria Ubelhor; two great grandchildren, Bram Coffey and Nathan Pennington.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, James Edward Ubelhor, George Patrick Ubelhor, Sr. Mary Helen Ubelhor OSB, Sr. Mary Denise Ubelhor OSB, Earnest Ubelhor and Norbert Ubelhor; one great grandchild, Ash Valic Coffey.

A funeral mass will be 11AM Monday at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Sunday at Milward – Southland with a rosary service at 3:30PM and from 10 until 11 AM Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Taylor Manor Nursing Home.
