LEXINGTON, Ky. - Harold K. Finnell, 93, widower of Willie “Billie” Finnell, passed away Thurs., Mar. 21, 2013 at Lexington Country Place. Born Dec. 10, 1919 and a Lexington native, he was the son of the late Floyd D. and Ora Mae Kindred Finnell. Mr. Finnell attended Woodford County schools, and enlisted in the Air Corps in Jan. 1944 becoming a Staff Sgt. in the 13th Air Force during World War II. He was a carpenter who loved woodworking, and was a member of Hill ‘N Dale Christian Church.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Mark Blackburn, David (Diane) Blackburn and Jeffery Stanton (Valerie) Stutsman; three great grandchildren, Kennedy and Kamryn Blackburn and Connor Stutsman; four step-grandchildren, Justin and Daniel Price and Ashley and Jennifer Holloway. He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Sharon Blackburn; a son, Paul Stanton Stutsman; three brothers, Uriel, Charles, and Eugene; and a sister, Nancy.
Funeral services will be 12:30 pm Mon. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by Minister Ken Jones and Minister Gene Welsh. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mark Blackburn, David Blackburn, Jeffery Stutsman, Tommy Finnell, Gary Finnell, and Ricky Hatfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Jones and Gene Welsh. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Sun. at the funeral home.
