LEXINGTON, Ky. - Mary A. Burry, widow of John Joseph Burry, passed away Thurs. March 28, 2013 at Lexington Country Place. Born Aug.29, 1925 in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of the late William P. and Myrtle Mercer Graham. Mrs. Burry was a homemaker, and a founding member of Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was an active person, who was soft hearted, and enjoyed volunteering. Mrs. Burry was a Past President of the Lions Club, and was a Past President of the Lexington Women’s Bowling Association and inducted into the Lexington Bowling Association Hall of Fame. Her hobbies were bowling, bunco, painting and gardening.
Survivors include four children, John (Barbara) Rink, Lexington, KY, Patsy (Garry) Henry, Corinth, KY, Donna (Terry) Burch, Lexington, KY and Terry (William) Weber, Elk Grove Village, IL. She was the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, George (Rose) Thorp, Fraser, MI; and one sister, Laura Lee, St. Ann, MO.
She was preceded in death by one brother, William A. Graham; one sister, Sandra Fritz; and one great grandchild, Faith Henry.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 am Tues. at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2501 Clays Mill Rd., Lexington, KY 40503. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Mon. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd.
