LEXINGTON, Ky. - Rada R. Jeffers, 63, passed away Sat., March 30, 2013 at the UK Markey Cancer Center. She was born in Richmond, KY on April 28, 1949 to the late Donald King and the late Helen Schuhart Watt. Rada was in charge of community marketing for Mayfair Village and assisted with the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging Foundation. In addition to being a former member of the Lexington Junior League, she was active early on with Baby Health. She was a member of Walnut Hill Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Christina (Mike) Miner Post of San Antonio, TX and Candace (Jason) Jeffers Lopp of New Albany, IN; three grandchildren, Emma Parker, Lauren Adair, and Jacob Thomas; two sisters, Melissa (Debra) Watt and Helen (Rick) Hatch; and one brother, Robert M. (Natalie) Watt III.
She was preceded in death by her beloved step-father, Robert M. Watt.
A memorial service will be 10am Wed. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main St. Visitation will be 4 – 8pm Tues. at the funeral home.
