Sue Holman Long, 70, Lancaster, KY

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Sue Holman Long, 70, Lancaster, KY, wife of Harold “Doc” Long, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Nellie Allen. She was retired from the maintenance department for the Fayette County public schools and she dealt with antiques for many years. She was a member of David’s Fork Baptist Church. She was also the best mom in the world.

Survivors other than her husband are four children, Carla Holman, Julie Holman, Kenny Long and Heather Redding; six grandchildren, Jena Caudill, Joshua and Luke Burden, Jordan and Alex Long, and Avery Redding; four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew, Clayton and Kalyn; two sisters, Nancy Gray and Pat Estepp; and a brother, Bob Allen.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Holman.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
