Brown, Eliza (Penny), age 75

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Brown, Eliza (Penny), age 75, wife of the late Thomas Brown  passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013. Born in Breathitt Co. she was the daughter of the late Elbert and Hazel Johnson Allen. She was a retired secretary for the Burnside State Park. Penny is a graduate of Breathitt County High and Lee’s Junior College in Jackson. Penny is a former member of the Eastern Star. She dabbled in politics and was a very social person who enjoyed and loved people.

Survivors include four sisters, Sally Holbrook, Norwood, OH, Yvonne Bellamy (Eugene) Nicholasville, KY, Shelia Allen, Nicholasville, KY and Veronica Watts (Tony), Jackson, KY.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Josephine Hall and two brothers, Samuel and John C. Allen.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday April 10, 2013 in the chapel of Kerr Brothers Funeral Home- Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of services. Burial will be in Mill spring National Cemetery, Nancy, KY. Memorials are suggested to: Lexington Humane Society, 1600 Old Frankfort Pike, Lexington, KY 40504.
