LEXINGTON, Ky. - Anne Catherine Myers Scott, born February 21, 1920, passed away April 8, 2013 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, N. Phillip Scott, her parents Anne C. Myers and J. Carlisle (“Chief”) Myers, and brothers J. Carlisle Myers, Jr. and Matt Myers.
Mrs. Scott graduated from Henry Clay High School and obtained a degree in Library Science from the University of KY where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lexington and until her illness, was an active member of Circle Three and the Church librarian. She was a sustaining member of the Junior League of Lexington and was a former member of the Idle Hour Country Club.
She and her husband were long-time residents of Glenview, Illinois, where he was employed by Sears Roebuck & Co. At the time of his retirement they returned to Lexington. She is survived by sons Phillip (Roni) Scott, Madison (Rose Marie) Scott, all of Lexington, daughter, Barbara Graham, Columbus, OH, grandsons Christopher (Rebecca) Scott, Nathaniel Graham, and great-grandchildren, Phillip, Emma Jane and Samuel Scott, all of Lexington.
Graveside services will be held at the Lexington Cemetery at four o’clock on Friday, April 12. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church, 171 Market Street, Lexington, KY 40507, or a charity of your choice.
