LEXINGTON, Ky. - Hampton, Mary Ruth Picklesimer, 80, passed away at home on Saturday, April 13,2013 surrounded by her loving husband and three devoted daughters. She was the wife of Donald F. Hampton to whom she was married for 60 years. She was the youngest daughter of twelve children born to the late Dorman and Rebecca Slone Picklesimer.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughters Jackie (Milt) Evans, Donna (Guy) Cornish, and Gena (David Kamerschen) Hampton; grandchildren Chad Muddiman, Jill (Meco) Richardson, Rebecca Evans, Betsy (Ryan) Laski, Bethany Evans, Kam and Caroline Kamerschen and Kim (David) Carmony; great grandchildren Malik, Mary and Myleigh Richardson, Cameron Muddiman and Olivia Laski; a sister Ola Jean Spears and a brother Dorman Picklesimer, Jr. and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was a faithful member of South Elkhorn Baptist Church for 46 years serving as a Sunday school teacher and touching many lives.
Funeral services led by Rev. Kevin Buntain will be 10:30 am Wed. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Road with burial to follow in the Highlands Memorial Park Cemetery in Staffordsville, KY. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass – Frankfort, 208 Steele St., Frankfort, KY 40601. The family wishes to thank nurse Jennifer Lawrence for her loving care and support.
