LEXINGTON, Ky. - Glen Ray (Dawg) Williams, 55, husband of Teresa Williams, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at his residence. Born in Pikeville, he was a son of Vernon Ray Williams and the late Mildred Williams. He was a coal truck driver and a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his wife and father are a son, Brian Williams; two daughters, Sabrina Akers (Will) and Katie Dye (John); a granddaughter, Brook Akers; three stepchildren, Joey Damron, Tiffany Burnam and Brenton Abshire; six step grandchildren, Quise, Garrett, Zachary, Cha-Lynn, Zoey and Makayla.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Grace Freewill Baptist Church. Services will be 7 p.m. Friday at the church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Sookey’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Pikeville.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Annie E. Young Cemetery in Pikeville. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. is in charge of local arrangements. Donations to Grace Freewill Baptist Church Youth, PO Box 54704, Lexington, KY 40555.
